Job Description
THE ROLE
As a Showroom Consultant at Beaumont Tiles Norwood Studio, you’ll provide a highly personalised experience, helping customers turn their ideas and inspiration into beautifully considered spaces.
This is more than a traditional retail sales role. You’ll take a consultative, design-focused approach, spending time understanding each customer’s style, project and needs before guiding them through our extensive range of tiles, hard flooring, bathroomware and interior finishes.
Working with homeowners, renovators, builders, interior designers and trade customers, you will:
Deliver a premium, personalised showroom experience
Build genuine relationships and understand each customer’s vision, style and project requirements
Guide customers through colour, finish, texture and product selections
Help customers create cohesive selections across tiles, flooring and bathroomware
Provide knowledgeable product advice and recommend solutions suited to the customer and their space
Manage the customer journey from initial consultation through to quoting, ordering and follow-up
Develop detailed quotes and process customer orders accurately
Follow up projects, leads and quotations to maximise sales opportunities
Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products and complete solutions
Maintain an exceptional standard of showroom presentation and visual merchandising
Keep up to date with product ranges, interior trends and new collections
Work collaboratively with the broader Norwood team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll play an important role in creating a showroom experience that feels inspiring, professional and tailored to every customer who walks through the door.
Desired Skills and Experience
ABOUT YOU
You’re someone who naturally connects with people and enjoys helping customers make confident decisions about their homes and spaces.
You may already have experience within a premium showroom, interiors, furniture, flooring, bathroomware, home improvement or another consultative sales environment. More importantly, you understand that great showroom service is about listening, building trust and creating the right solution for the customer, rather than simply making a sale.
To be successful, you’ll:
Have experience in showroom, consultative or premium retail sales
Have a genuine interest in interiors, home design, renovation or styling
Enjoy working closely with customers on considered, often detailed selections
Have a strong eye for colour, finish, texture and coordinating products
Be confident presenting options and helping customers narrow down their choices
Build strong relationships and deliver a polished, personalised customer experience
Be comfortable managing quotes, orders, enquiries and customer follow-up
Be commercially minded and motivated by achieving sales results
Have strong communication, organisation and computer skills
Bring a warm, professional and positive approach to the showroom
Work well as part of a collaborative team
Previous experience in tiles, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, interiors or design-focused retail would be highly regarded.
If you love interiors, enjoy working with beautiful products and get genuine satisfaction from helping customers bring a space together, we’d love to hear from you.
